Radon Mitigation System Case Studies: Heated Floors Mitigation Solution in Kingsley, IA

Challenge

Chuck's radon test results came back about 14 pCi/L and he wanted to move forward with mitigation, but his floors have heating elements poured into them so we couldn't drill through them to create an extraction point for the mitigation system.

Solution

Dustin Jones, NRD Midwest Indoor Air Quality Specialist, worked together with Chuck to design a system that he'd be comfortable with. Production team leader Andrew Albright installed a one extraction point mitigation system with interior aesthetics and the extraction point is in the sump. Afterward Chuck shared, "They did a good job - cleaned up and did very well. Called ahead and even got it done a few days early!"
