Radon Mitigation & Indoor Air Quality Upgrades for New Home
After CRM testing revealed radon levels of 9.3 pCi/L, Sandra and her family decided it was time to take action. With a two-chamber basement and an inaccessible crawlspace addition, our team designed a two-point sub-slab extraction system, placed on either side of the block wall. One extraction point will also require coring through the raised storage room to route the exhaust properly. To further protect the home, we’re installing a 20x25 Breathe EZ Air Cleaner (with L brackets if needed) and completing a full duct cleaning with standard fogging, as the ducts had never been cleaned before. With high humidity levels, we also discussed adding a Sedona dehumidifier for long-term comfort and protection. Sandra’s son-in-law, Heath, was present during the planning to ensure the system setup addressed both radon reduction and indoor air quality improvements for the whole family.
