Radon Mitigation - Allen, NE
Radon Mitigation Planned Before Move-In for Newly Purchased Home
After purchasing this unique home, the homeowner coordinated the project remotely from Arizona while preparing to move in this May or June. During a FaceTime walkthrough with his brother-in-law, the plan for a sub-slab radon mitigation system was finalized after testing showed levels at 3.9 pCi/L, right near the EPA action threshold. The system will use an extraction point near the plumbing stack and exit through the rim joist. Because of the home’s low extended metal roofline on the west side, the vent pipe will extend four feet above the roof to meet proper radon mitigation standards. The homeowner understood the design and approved the setup for long-term indoor air quality protection.
