Radon Mitigation System Case Studies: Cleanspace Barrier Radon Mitigation Solution to Waterguard in Cherokee, IA
Challenge
Doug has his own CRM to test for Radon gas, has owned 17 homes, and is very knowledgeable regarding Radon. He was planning on installing the Radon mitigation depressurization system of this home in Cherokee, IA himself, however, after realizing there were holes in his foundation for Waterguard he figured he should call on a professional to help him take care of it.
Solution
Our System Design Specialist worked closely with Doug to create the best solution possible. Our technicians installed cleanspace, a radon gas barrier, on all the walls with anchors in Doug's unfinished area of his basement with full wall cleanspace and the walls without anchors got 32" of cleanspace. We then installed an extraction point for the depressurization radon mitigation system and sealed the sump pit with plexiglass.
