This customer is having their HVAC removed from their last crawlspace and wanted it checked. The crawlspace was east to work with and we ended up running power for the fans. Everything went well.

Managing Humidity and Radon: Smart Mitigation Plan for a Challenging Crawlspace

During inspection, we found very high humidity and an inaccessible crawlspace, with radon levels around 6 pCi/L in this home, though not fully accurate since the basement windows were open during testing. Our tech's plan includes sealing 60 feet of floor cracks and installing a sub-slab extraction point near the plumbing stack, exiting through the rim joist with the fan mounted on the back of the home. This setup will significantly improve airflow and reduce radon accumulation within the space.
