Smart Mitigation Plan for a Challenging Crawlspace
Managing Humidity and Radon: Smart Mitigation Plan for a Challenging Crawlspace During inspection, we found very high humidity and an inaccessible crawlspace, with radon levels around 6 pCi/L, though not fully accurate since the basement windows were open during testing. Our tech's plan includes sealing 60 feet of floor cracks and installing a sub-slab extraction point near the plumbing stack, exiting through the rim joist with the fan mounted on the back of the home. This setup will significantly improve airflow and reduce radon accumulation within the space.

Exit home through rim joist that is above second point, 18' from corner of house. Route up and around soffit. Install domed lid in back corner and 20x25 Breathe EZ (additional protection). Everything went well!
Radon-free air helps recovering lungs stay healthy
When Steve's wife was diagnosed with lung cancer, the non-smoking couple was confident that it was radon-induced. A test of their Corning basement revealed an average radon level of 4.0 pCi/L. Though Iowa's average household radon level, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health, is 8.5 pCi/L, the national Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends that all homes with a level at or above 4.0 pCi/L seek radon treatment. Unfortunately, radon mitigation can't reverse the health damage radon has caused, but it can eliminate future damage and safeguard recovery. Our team installed a suction-system with an exterior fan and economy sump pump to lower the couple's radon level and ensure they're breathing safe air. Best wishes to Steve and his family for a speedy and complete recovery.
Sewage issue leads to offensive lingering smell.
When tree roots invade the sewage pipes it causes many problems, blockage, leaks, and horrendous odors. After fixing the root issue this homeowner was still stuck in the lingering sewage smell throughout their home. Each home we work in gets a custom plan to resolve all the customers' issues.  For this home, we installed a sub-slab mitigation system to move the air under the home out and an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) to bring in fresh conditioned air.  Within 5 minutes after the install, the odor was improving. “We had Tony as our salesperson, who did a fantastic job explaining the products and system design. Lance and Curt, CEO of the company, performed our install. Very satisfied so far! No sewer smells!”

Radon Mitigation Saves the Day
Radon Mitigation Saves the Day This client was undecided if they'll still get a radon mitigation system since they were planning to sell the home and move to another state. They did ask for a free quote last year and called us back this year for another. They were unsure if the money is worth the hassle. One time, a home inspector visited and advised them to get one otherwise their home would not be suitable for the modern market, state laws, and for health concerns of the potential new owner. Lo and behold, they asked competitors and they came back to us as they were happy with the 10-year warranty the system came along with!
New Home, New Radon Mitigation System
Radon Remediation in Anita, Iowa The client -- Grant just bought house and moved in a couple days ago. He got a radon test as he wasn't confident with the health and safety of the home. He got levels of 6. It's a ranch house with a walk out and unfinished basement. It has no sump pit. The team did a sub slab extraction point behind stairs and garage and cored through poured foundation to exit on side of house and route up. They explained to Grant that he needs to have a crack sealing as the expansion joints were deep and he said he can already manage that on his own. Everything went well!
Multi-Point Radon Mitigation for Family Home Focused on Health & Future Plans
The client reached out on behalf of her daughter, deeply concerned about radon exposure symptoms affecting her grandchildren’s health. With Lexi's home featuring multiple basement chambers, a 3-point radon mitigation system was designed to ensure comprehensive radon gas removal. A charcoal test kit will determine warranty eligibility after installation. Due to the home’s layout and a finished basement section, careful planning is required—two coring fees were included to allow extraction points to tie through foundation walls. Exhaust will be routed toward the north side of the home to avoid interfering with future renovations. A walkthrough before starting is crucial. This proactive family is tackling radon remediation head-on—choosing health, safety, and long-term peace of mind.
