Multi-Chamber Basement? No Problem with Radon Mitigation.

This home’s basement is uniquely split into 4–6 separate chambers—making airflow and radon reduction more complex than usual. The techs were designing a 2-fan mitigation system to address the layout: one fan will manage 2 extraction points, and the second fan will cover 3. Both systems will exhaust cleanly out the back of the house. The homeowner is highly focused on air quality and showed strong interest in the Breathe EZ Air Cleaner. Due to some site limitations, please take a moment to walk Ken through how to replace the Breathe EZ filter during install. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact with radon reduction and cleaner air for the entire home.

From Surprise to Solution: Tackling High Radon in a Home with Additions

After 15 years in their home, this family was shocked when a radon test revealed fluctuating levels between 10–25 pCi/L—despite having a passive system. Their children’s bedrooms are in the lower level, so health concerns were top of mind. The homeowner had already taken initiative by adding a fan to the passive system, but discovered it wasn’t addressing two key radon chambers in the home’s large rear addition.

Radon Defense Midwest stepped in to design a two-point mitigation system for the addition, along with an ERV for improved air circulation. With thoughtful placement and homeowner collaboration, this project reflects what’s possible when experience, concern, and the right team come together.

Radon Mitigation - Milford, IA

This client has just purchased a new home and wanted to ensure that it was free from any potential health hazards. He contacted Radon Defense Midwest and had a mitigation system installed since he realized what radon can do to the body. The team was efficient and professional, and the client was happy to see the radon levels drop to safe levels.

Radon Mitigation - Milford, IA

The client was well aware of radon and is scared by its future effects if left uncontrolled. So he made the decision to test, mitigate and contact his local radon mitigation specialists (us). We were able to explain how the installation process would be and he agreed to it. We were able to install a single-point system around the eave with a sub-slab extraction point.
