With no warranty on levels and a fully finished basement, the homeowner took proactive steps to ensure the safety of the space. A single sub-slab extraction point was installed in the HVAC room, with careful planning around washer/dryer placement to maximize effectiveness. The system was routed discreetly—cored through the poured wall and run behind exposed exterior logs to preserve the cabin’s rustic charm. Though no one was home during the installation, everything was carefully coordinated. The homeowner also invested in a 20x25 BreatheEZ filter and UVC light system for their primary residence in Des Moines.

Simple Radon Fix for a Basement: One-Point Radon Mitigation

Justin and his wife had owned their home for about a year when radon became impossible to ignore.
