Radon Mitigation - Ithaca, NE
This was a multi-chambered home that needed radon mitigation help as they tested their home and returned with really high levels. The couple (owners) have a very clear understanding what radon can do to one's health if this was left unmitigated. They mentioned that this was the best decision they made at the start of 2023.
Radon Mitigation = Higher Appraisals
The customer's basement renovation project included radon mitigation installation, enhancing the home's overall value and safety. He made this decision because he found out from a home inspector friend that a radon mitigation system increases the value of a home over time. It's starting to become part of safety and wellness in the government's agenda. We definitely agree with this client's perspective!
Radon Mitigation & Indoor Air Quality Upgrades for New Home
After CRM testing revealed radon levels of 9.3 pCi/L, Sandra and her family decided it was time to take action. With a two-chamber basement and an inaccessible crawlspace addition, our team designed a two-point sub-slab extraction system, placed on either side of the block wall. One extraction point will also require coring through the raised storage room to route the exhaust properly. To further protect the home, we’re installing a 20x25 Breathe EZ Air Cleaner (with L brackets if needed) and completing a full duct cleaning with standard fogging, as the ducts had never been cleaned before. With high humidity levels, we also discussed adding a Sedona dehumidifier for long-term comfort and protection. Sandra’s son-in-law, Heath, was present during the planning to ensure the system setup addressed both radon reduction and indoor air quality improvements for the whole family.
Radon Mitigation for the Dinapolis' New Home: Addressing Crawlspace & Basement Risks
When the Dinapolis family purchased their new home, they were already one step ahead in protecting their investment and health. With radon levels testing between 10–11 pCi/L, and a 4-foot crawlspace accessible from the back of the house, radon mitigation was a clear next move. Thanks to Realtor Charlie Sutton, who had already helped the seller patch floors and seal visible cracks, the home was prepped for an efficient install. Our team designed a 2-point radon mitigation system, one extraction point in the basement and another in the crawlspace. We paid special attention to an old coal chute in the crawlspace, sealing it thoroughly to reduce radon infiltration. This approach provided a cost-effective radon reduction solution tailored to the home’s layout; giving the Dinapolis family peace of mind from the start.
Little One on the Way, Protection All the Way!
This lovely couple were so excited as they have a little one along the way! They were looking into upgrading the health standards of their home and want it more protected from any hazardous elements. Knowing that radon is one, they called us initially for a free estimate and asked what's the best type of mitigation system to place  in their home. We had drafted them their options in which they were happy how it turned out!
Mitigating a Family Home with History
This ranch home tested at 11.5 pCi/L, and while the structure holds decades of family history, it also presents unique challenges. The original porch was enclosed to create a finished living space, but the crawlspace beneath remains inaccessible—making radon level warranties difficult. The basement is mostly finished, except for a small HVAC room. The homeowner’s grandfather added the basement in the 1970s and later installed interior drain tile, though the sump pump is located outside. With uncertainty about where the tile runs, our team plans to extract near the plumbing stack and tie into the system if accessible. Routing will go through the rim joist, with the homeowner assisting by relocating the water softener basin ahead of time.
A Healthy Home for Relaxed Living in Fremont, NE
George and Loretta want a healthy home while they're living there, and for any future owners of their house. They were considering many different investments in their home: tree care, new concrete, and a Radon mitigation system. It was important to them to keep value in their home for when it comes time to sell. After speaking with NRD Midwest Indoor Air Quality Specialists, they were convinced the Radon mitigation system was the first investment they wanted to tackle together! The NRD Midwest team installed a 1 extraction point system with interior aesthetics and a muffler, a sump cover, a domed cover, and in their HVAC system installed a Breathe Easy Air Cleaner and UVC light to purify their air. George and Loretta said "it went great!" and were very pleased afterward.

We Got Company!
This nice couple was starting their own family and just purchased their very own home. They called in for a FREE estimate and upon seeing the house, it was a large home with a big basement storage room. They did emphasize that's where they want the installation structure to pass going up to the garage. The team drafted their request and immediately had it done! We also had company -- the Annabelle Doll! Everything went well.
